About us
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Buy You Sell Me (BYSM) is a non-profit label based in London with 2 aims in mind:

To release quality electronic music and to raise funds for various charitable causes.

Established in 2007, the label was founded on the idea of combining great dance

music while helping make a global positive impact.

From its humble beginnings, BYSM has grown from being a one-man operation -

headed by founder Hassan Alwan to include a group of dedicated music lovers based

in different regions around the world.

BYSM artists and staff contribute their time towards a common objective to help raise

proceeds for those in need.

Over the past two years, the label has collaborated with its artists to raise funds for

Amnesty International, the Drake Music Project, Lega Italiana Per La Lotta Contro L’Aids,

Parkinson’s Disease Society, Comite Para Democratizacao da Informatica, and Sacred Bridge.

In addition to featuring releases by established artists such as Hakan Lidbo, Remute,

Someone Else, Mazi, Tom Ellis, and Xpansul, the label is also interested in providing new

talent with a platform to express their sound and desire to aid a worthy cause.

We thank all the DJs who have helped promote our releases over the past two years,

including, to name a few, John Tejada, Martin Eyerer, Martin Landsky, Mark Henning,

Tim Green, DJ Three, Chris Fortier, D’Julz, Dirt Crew, Jeff Samuel and Patrice Baumel.

Most importantly, we would like to thank you, the listeners and buyers who continue to

help Buy You Sell Me promote awareness through your support.

There are hundreds of worthwhile causes out there.

BYSM encourages everyone to get involved one way or another.

Together we can build a more proactive movement that will always help those who are in need.

Patching things one track at a time….

BYSM006

Happy New Year folks! We've got some exciting material ready to be unleashed

in 2009 and kick things off with a Remute original for BYSM006. As many of you

know, Denis Karimani aka Remute has been causing quite the stir in the past year

with releases and remixes on Bedrock, Einmaleins Musik, Liebe Detail and his very

own label Remute. To accompany Denis we have invited a musically diverse group of

artists, Fellow Creature, Soul Minority and Stephane Vera, to present their

interpretations of the featured track Wanderer. Expect everything from

Electronica/Downtempo, Tech-House, Jazz infused House and of course Techno.

As always...all tracks on the release have been mastered by soundman Tim Xavier

from Man Made Mastering.

All proceeds will be donated to HERZSTIFTUNG (German Heart Foundation) on the

request of Denis Karimani aka Remute. (www.herzstiftung.de)

BYSM005

Buy You Sell Me welcome Italy’s native Patrick di Stefano to spearhead BYSM005.

Along with remixes from Jim Black, Mazi, Miles Moore and Tom Ellis, the release

features 7 floor movers and shakers, guaranteed to get the attention of

Tech-House music lovers. BYSM and Patrick have agreed to donate all proceeds

from this release to Lega Italiana Per La Lotta Contro L’Aids (L.I.L.A – www.lila.it).

L.I.L.A, an organisation that has been active for over 20 years in Italy helps

prevent and treat people infected with HIV & AIDS.

All tracks on the release have been mastered by soundman Tim Xavier from

Man Made Mastering.

BYSM004

Back from hibernation mode, Buy You Sell Me return with 'Fix the Window', an original

piece by rising Brazilian star Ricardo Cutz. Fresh off his remix on Rui Da Sliva's label

Kismet Records, Ricardo continues to utilise his unique approach to minimal techno,

resulting in a slow, yet unpredictable roller-coaster ride. BYSM invite the always

on-form Someone Else and Xhin for remix duties, in addition to debutants Macguffin,

Zaid K and label boss Hassan Alwan. All proceeds for this release will be donated to

Comite para Democratizacao de Informatica (http://www.cdi.org.br), a charity

dedicated to providing the youths of less fortunate communities in Brazil with access

to computers and the internet. Support from Salvas Pascalidas, Maik Loewen,

Paul Hazendonk, Jeff Milligan, Mark Henning, Tyler Stadius, Hakan Lidbo, Basteroid

and Brian Ffar.

All tracks were mastered by Tim Xavier from Man Made Mastering.
